Students will learn how to craft a rustic wood bench from reclaimed pine. Students will review plans, select materials,
and receive instruction and safety guidelines for the chop saw and drill. Students will make their own measurements
and cuts, and layout and assemble their benches with glue and screws. Instructor will discuss finishing options.

Workshop in Transition

Hey Folks,

Sorry for any confusion surrounding the workshops at Rebuilding Exchange. Sadly, we will not be scheduling any more workshops this summer. The growing demand for our reclaimed lumber has left the deconstruction branch of our program struggling to keep up. As such we do not currently have enough materials for our Saturday Workshops. Furthermore, we are in the process of updating our shop tools, and raising funds for a massive dust collection system. The goal is to have a fully equipped, safer, and dust free workshop for the fall. We plan to continue offering rustic building workshops, open shop hours for the community, and much more. Thanks.
